One of my hugest passions is makeup, I consider it an artistic medium and love creating new looks to express myself. I thought that I would share my love of make-up with all of you today with a look inspired by bluebirds. It is a somewhat dramatic look so if you, unlike me, aren't used to wearing bold eye shadow on a daily basis, you may want to just walk around your house with it until you feel comfortable. Maybe this look would even work for a night out. However you decide to wear it, I hope you enjoy!
Here are the items we will be using today:
Crease brush and eyeliner brush by EcoTools, eye shadow sponge, NYX eye shadow palette, and Sephora eye shadow in the color 'My favorite jeans'
Start off by covering your entire eye with white eye shadow. I used the eye shadow sponge for this but again if you find it easier just use your fingertips.
Notice how I angled mine at a slight point when it reached my cheekbone.

Next, pat the blue eye shadow in a concentrated spot at the center of your eyelid and blend it out a little (so that the color is a much lighter blue) toward the inner corner and under your eye slightly. If the eye shadow is still dark after you have blended it to those areas, just use a little more white shadow to soften it.
Finally, line under your eye with the blue eye shadow, being careful not to go over the light blue area you created in the last step. I used the eyeliner brush for this step and I would definitely recommend finding a small brush or pointed eye shadow sponge so you get a nice precise line. Here is your completed eye:
To finish off this look I added some nude lipstick. A good rule of thumb: if one section of your make-up is bold, the rest should be neutral.
I hope this tutorial was helpful for you and even if you don't try this look, that it inspired you to make one of your own. I had so much fun creating this look and I would love to do more in the future.
xoxo
Kendra
